At its April 26 meeting the RWSA Board received bids for the odor control project. Item e on the Board’s consent agenda was “Construction Bid Award – Odor Control Facilities for Moores Creek Advanced Water Resource Recovery Facility.”
I have not seen coverage of this from the press, but on May 2 during the City Council meeting Councilor Galvin 160502 Galvin that the RWSA Board has authorized the Executive Director to award a contract to do “odor mitigation” at the Moores Creek plant.
MEB General Contractors Inc. out of Chesapeake, VA was the successful bidder. Work is anticipated to start in mid June and it is anticipated that the work will be complete by January 2018.
